Troubleshooting Guide

Extension Not Loading

  1. 1Refresh the webpage and wait 10 seconds
  2. 2Check if you're logged into Google Analytics
  3. 3Verify the extension is enabled in Chrome extensions
  4. 4Try opening an incognito window to test

No Data Showing

  1. 1Confirm the website has GA4 tracking installed
  2. 2Check if your GA4 property has recent data
  3. 3Verify you have access to the GA4 property
  4. 4Try switching to a different date range

Authentication Issues

  1. 1Sign out and sign back into the extension
  2. 2Clear your browser cache and cookies
  3. 3Check Google account permissions for TrafficTap
  4. 4Ensure you're using the correct Google account

Performance Issues

  1. 1Close other Chrome tabs to free up memory
  2. 2Disable other extensions temporarily
  3. 3Update Chrome to the latest version
  4. 4Restart your browser completely

If you're still experiencing issues, follow these steps to capture debug information for our support team:

  2. 2Select 'Inspect popup' from the menu
  3. 3Open the Console tab in Developer Tools
  4. 4Take a screenshot of any error messages
  5. 5Include this screenshot when contacting support
